About Martin Murtagh
Hi, I’m Martin, a Belfast-based connector, mentor, and community builder with a deep belief that business is built in rooms. I design and facilitate those rooms.
From founding The Growth Network (a thriving community across Belfast, Newry, Dundalk, and Dublin) to working directly with senior leaders and ambitious founders, my work sits at the intersection of authentic relationship-building and commercial growth.
With an MSc, EMCC-accredited coaching credentials, and two All-Ireland Business All-Star accreditations, I bring both practical experience and proven expertise to every engagement. I’ve helped professionals move beyond surface-level networking into genuine, high-value relationships that open doors and create opportunities.
My Why
I started this journey because I saw too many talented people and businesses struggling in isolation or wasting time in ineffective networking.
I believe collaboration beats competition, and that the right human connections can transform both businesses and lives.
Through strategic introductions, mentoring, curated events, and mastermind communities, my focus is simple: helping people build relationship capital that compounds over time.
Alongside founding The Growth Network, I also serve as a Non-Executive Director at Newry Credit Union and work as a part-time Business Lecturer at Southern Regional College, supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs and professionals.
I’m also an active mentor with Enterprise Nation and founder of the award-winning Newry City Tours. When I’m not connecting people, you’ll usually find me fishing on a trout stream, exploring the Mourne Mountains, or spending time with family and friends.
